Another good method, especially for fire ants in south Texas, is to swap the tops of ant mounds. Two shovels, scoop the tops off of each mound, pour them over opposite mounds. They'll kill each other's queen. Too easy.

Both of these objects look astonishing, and it's not just because of the glass, although that is the main point of attraction. Their design is smooth and towering at the same time. As Spring approaches, we are all anxious... cleaning and organizing is always at the top.
A couple years ago I decided to re-organized and de-clutter my kitchen. It is small so I had to be creative. I had a kitchen cart that was not used effectively. So I cleaned everything out and made it my baking center. I put all my baking supplies, like flour, sugar, nuts etc in square and oblong containers (from Tupperware). They are airtight so I like them. I then put my bread mixer, wheat grinder and hand mixer in there. Every space is used, it is neat and organized. I roll it to a corner of my family room, have a lovely family sitting on top and it looks beautiful!

I started gathering the items for this project. Since my daughter doesn't have a dresser in her room(she has all built in closets), I have to become creative. I though of the window sill but that is too narrow. So I will put a small portable kitchen cart by the window with this on top.
It will function as a shelf as well as storing some of her craft supplies.

As I see it, we have to simplify our life, which means stop buying things that we don't need and put the things that we don't use anymore into storage containers for recycling . Good tips and if everyone started to do this with small steps we could get somewhere.

This is my first comment but I feel like I should have been making loads of comments now because I always like your stuff. Maybe comments are for more hit and miss blogs than your own. When you maintain a consistent level of high quality output I reckon people are less inclined to comment because they have come to expect it from you. Just a theory.

Never really occurred to me to leave a comment on the designboom weblog.. i mean sure, i read you guys everyday, but the posts i find interesting i fave or bookmark or share the url to others, rather than clicking the comment link.

It's good to know your stand towards this comment thing going on. I've visited some design sites before that I find have repetitive comments from visitors, might be one of those you were pertaining to.

I find I respect designboom more for the lack of comment obsession :)

I love playing the new games Reflexive puts on here like mad caps bettys beer bar Panda Craze that's a wonderful game to play. You have to hit the S-->key & the D-->key S=Left D=Right it's pretty fun to play.

Looks really good, I love the art style. As for delayed projects, I know how that goes, just keep pushing :)
